Facilities: Parking, pathways, restrooms, and the two covered shelters in the picnic area are all accessible by wheelchair. There is also a recently constructed accessible fishing pier on the lake and the park's visitor center is barrier-free.
Climb rugged peaks rising 800 feet above the surrounding countryside and watch raptors soar in the wind currents. Rocky ledges and outcrops are the perfect seats from which to view the panorama below. The park itself is 5,096 acres. Travel park trails for a closer look at the highland environment. Experienced rock climbers will enjoy the challenges of Crowders Mountain. Climbing is permitted in designated areas only and all climbers must register according to park regulations. Basic rock climbing safety equipment and techniques must be used at all times.
